1. Who We Are

Claregalway Community Centre ("we", "us", "our") is a community facility located at Lakeview, Claregalway, Co. Galway, H91 THH4, Ireland. We are the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at communitycentreclaregalway@gmail.com or by phone at (091) 798 371.

2. What Data We Collect

Website Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. GA4 collects information such as pages visited, time spent on site, device type, and approximate geographic location (country or region level). This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.

Room Booking Enquiries (Google Forms)

Our booking page includes a Google Form where you can submit a room booking enquiry. If you complete this form, we receive the information you provide — which may include your name, phone number, email address, the date and time you require, and your intended use of the space. This information is used solely to process and respond to your booking enquiry.

Email Contact

If you contact us directly by email, we receive your email address and any personal information you choose to include in your message. This is used only to respond to your enquiry.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Booking enquiries and email: Processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Google Analytics: On the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use our website so we can improve it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may opt out at any time — see the Cookies section below.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

Booking enquiry submissions are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the booking and for a reasonable administrative period thereafter (generally up to 2 years). Email correspondence is retained for up to 2 years. Google Analytics data is retained in line with GA4's default data retention settings (14 months).

5. Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services, which may process personal data:
